First thing to do is follow the advice, check the event viewer:
Examine the Vista/Win7 Event Viewer

http://windows.daiquansu.mobi.com/en-US/windows-vista/Open-Event-Viewer

Vista and Win7 Event Viewer are essentially the same.

Something is “broke”. What is happening when you try to open it? Is there an error message?

Take a look in the Event viewer, go to the Start menu, enter “event” in the search window, click on “Event Viewer”.

In event viewer, open the Error and Warning message categories. Look for a source like Outlook or MS Office and also look for the time that you had the problem (ie just a couple of minutes ago).

Xem thêm:

Report the error code and full, exact error message text you find that appear relevant.

After reviewing the the event log you can try doing a repair on your office installation. If that doesnt” work, here are several techniques for uninstalling Office:try following this procedure to repair the office installation:Repair or remove Office 2010 – http://office.daiquansu.mobi.com/en-us/excel-help/repair-or-remove-office-2010-HA010357402.aspx?CTT=1

or

Click to Run: Switch to using an MSI-based Office 2010 edition -http://office.daiquansu.mobi.com/en-us/excel-help/click-to-run-switch-to-using-an-msi-based-office-edition-HA101850538.aspx?CTT=3Try is this trouble shooting procedure. Work through the whole thing:How to trouble shoot problems that occur when you start or use Word 2010, Word 2007, Word 2003, or Word 2002http://support.daiquansu.mobi.com/kb/921541(no %temp% folder)If that doesn”t work, then try this more aggressive uninstall (followed by re-install) procedure:FIXIT uninstall tools for Office 2003, 2007 or 2010 suites (including starter) if you cannot uninstall it from Control Panelhttp://support.daiquansu.mobi.com/kb/290301 (no %temp%)

·Note: if uninstall of Click to Run Starter does not work:

·Start run window:

·Start Services dialog: services.msc

·Locate ‘Client Virtualization”

·Right click, select Properties.

Xem thêm:

·Repeat Fix It from KB 290301

·

Manually uninstall the 2007 Office system if you cannot uninstall it by using the “Add or Remove Programs” feature -http://support.daiquansu.mobi.com/kb/928218(%temp%)

For 2010 clean up procedure remains the same, just have to make some number substations:

Change all references to Office suites:Office 2002 = Office 10.0Office 2003 = Office 11.0Office 2007 = Office 12.0Office 2010 = Office 14.0

·The best way to clean the %temp% folder is after a reboot, so if you are planning to reboot, hold off on that step or repeat the %temp% cleanup after reboot

·open the run window: + R

·type %temp%,

·press ,

·Windows Explorer opens in the TEMP folder

·Select all files: + A

·

·For any files in use, justSKIP them

·For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003, clickStart, click Run, type %AllUsersprofile%Application Datadaiquansu.mobiOfficeData, and then clickOK.
